June 2021

Dear Friends --

Here are a few important reminders and updates this summer!

California Drive Bike Facility Survey & Public Meeting

The City of Burlingame is seeking input from the community on the California Drive Bicycle Project. Developed collaboratively with the community and formalized in the Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan, the California Drive Bicycle Facility Project will focus on improving safety between Broadway to Oak Grove Avenue.

Click here to take the online survey to help identify a design alternative that reflects the values, interests, and priorities of the community. The survey will be active through Thursday, June 10.

In addition, there will be a public meeting on Thursday, June 10 as part of the regularly scheduled Traffic, Safety, and Parking Commission meeting. Join the commission's discussion to learn more and provide your input. Visit the Traffic, Safety & Parking Commission Meeting webpage for meeting details.

El Camino Real Roadway Renewal Project Update

More information coming soon about the release of Caltrans' El Camino Real "Draft Environmental Impact Report" -- likely later this month.  Be sure to sign up for the City's weekly e-News here for timely updates. I will also share reminders via social media and in my July newsletter. This report will share Caltrans' proposed design for a full rehabilitation of El Camino Real in Burlingame.  Members of the public will have 45 days to provide written comments, so it's important for the community to stay engaged this summer.  Learn additional backstory at ecralternatives.com.

Thanks for your continued trust in me.  Take care, be sure get your vaccine ASAP if you haven't already done so, and keep in touch!

Warm regards,
